Skrillex review

2 am, a fresh can of coke and a rolled cigarette, nothing to do but review. As a dub scrooge, I refuse to let the wobs and screws of dub step possess me but this guy will inevitably get all your wits banging. Therefore he is worth a mention and a spoon full of respect. Released on Deadmau5’s mau5trap label, Skrillex (Sonny Moore) came from a hardcore screamo band, making him part of a tsunami of American producers washing into dubstep from other genres. But Skrillex is a beat maker of violent chaos and wobbling basslines, silly toy melodies coated with piercing abrasive muck, making his work exclusive. The beauty of his synths and trademark collage of vocals differentiate Skrillex from his peers. It was hard to ignore this young producer when he raised eyebrows and marked his talent with Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites. A truly special release, the critics are telling all the kids to have a listen, even if they don’t taste electrics.
