Verses // Hey Vanity // Floods

The boiler room is an alternative music venue situated in my new home town, guildford. A great stage for intimate gigs or highly anticipated introductions.

Arriving ridiculously early we manage to grab a couple of drinks before the bands come on and when Floods grace the stage.. boy im thankful.

Charlotte Qvale - revisited

This chick has heightened my excitement for 2012, considering the worlds going to end and all, it wasn't looking so glam.

This sugar coated Icelandic babe creates dreamy melodies. A crystalline soprano which gives pop a little make over. She’s cute and tacky, like fake diamonds and pearls which makes it all a satisfying illusion. There are a few separate elements to her music which divide your attention both ways. With her new video The Beginning of the End, which was released about a month ago, she uses an electrical farting riff through out with honest vocals. She's so fresh, she is not even on wikipedia. The only bio out there is written by the one and only and reads, 'When I was seven years old my parents bought me an old piano. I fell in love with the piano, and I fell in love with music' Get out Sixpence None the Richer and take your kisses elsewhere. Former actress, performance artist and film composer, she’s now taking over the music scene. So jel.

Hullabaloo

May I introduce Hullabaloo to those of you who haven't been graced with their music yet. Let me give you the lowdown. Good looking and fresh to the Cardiff music scene, they play feel good jazzy blues with a rustic edge. Hullabaloo consists of guitars, bass, keyboard, drums and a brass ensemble, giving them THAT unique angle most of us are craving.
