Sum 41 - Screaming Bloody Murder

Sum 41 are creeping back into the scene with a new brand of dense rock. Heavy, dark and angry. The Canadian quartet still have dexterity, relative lyrics and attractive melodies. Matured since the days of Fat Lip, but in a progressive dynamic manner (y'know its never cool when you see a mother wear her teenage daughters clothes) The album contains a generous amount of thrashing hyper speed strumming and witty riffs.
Varying from hardcore battering tracks that make you want to smash plates on the kitchen floor to scuffed lullabies that have frayed round the edges. The lyrics typically contain buckets of emotion, keeping in mind the lead has divorced his wife so the persistence of break up songs andfuck off  im over you and Im fine theme still very much exists, with added doom. Almost friendly enough to be borderline radio quality. A soundtrack to the haunted house of broken relationships. Keeping structure and consistency from beginning to end Sum 41 boast of their skills once again.  I started listening to this album by 'previewing all' on iTunes but by track 7 out of 15 kicked in, I'd decided it was worth sacrificing the pocket money saved for beers this weekend so I was frantically pressing the fat silver " Buy Album " button.
