or are they just going to sink into the wobbing mud of mediocrity that dubstep is swamped in these days. Punters on YouTube would agree with the latter. They argue that they're just not dubstep at all, apparently they're too mainstream now and they're dipping into the "pop-step" league. All of that goes woosh over my head, im buzzed like their bass. Cheeky north Landan boys, Modestep are reputable for their combination of vocals and instrumentation. Especially reputable for their performances. After seeing them on Thursday, i can confirm this. Captivating would be an understatement. They even have a specific dude named Oz on visuals. They hypnotise your eyes whilst the decks spellbind your ears and the drums keep your heart in time to the speedy rhythm.
I can feel the bass and it's making my nose bleed.
Kudos to Josh on vocals, which were sung live and fresh. Producing track after track of attractive hyper noise, if the dubheads are correct and Modestep are going mainstream, expect to see your little sister poppin 'n snortin uppers at her next school disco.
