Arcane Roots

It's still raining.

Can you see in the dark? See the circus fall apart? All I need is a space in your heart, because I'm alive still.

Just as the wind picked up and started howling around the neighbourhood we went out to explore the forest. We got ourselves lost amongst the tall trees and we sank our shoes into deep puddles of mud.

I'm currently warming up with a fresh coffee, drenched hair and rain washed face. I'm listening to Arcane Roots' newest release. Yes, it was only a matter of time before I became infatuated with them again. Sorry, not sorry.

Novo Amor

I needed to start somewhere.

I am inspired. Jeez, It's been a long time coming. All it takes is a little nudge, in this case by a total stranger. I am grateful stranger, thank you.

My unintentional search for new music began on Twitter, then on a blog, which lead me to YouTube, onto SoundCloud and then a lengthly shuffle through related tracks. Now I have made my own little discovery. Admittedly thousands upon thousands of lucky people have listened, watched and admired Novo Amor before, but I found him today, and as of today he is my new obsession. Well, one of them, let's not forget I am pretty fanatical.

The 36 Questions, To Fall In-Love With Anyone

Happy 2016. A new year and a 1 year anniversary to celebrate. We met, we dated, we travelled, we laughed, we played, we made amazing memories, we committed, we moved in together, and now we're in our most favourite relationship. M is irrevocably my best friend, and exceeds any expectation I ever had for a boyfriend, or any one person in my life. We're in love.

The Childhood

Childhood was one big adventure. We experienced diverse cultures, met incredible people and learnt valuable lessons. In actual fact, despite the locations, in some ways my childhood was ordinary. I attended dance and swimming lessons, explored beaches and jungles, leaped off boats into deep seas. I had a selection of friends, girls and boys. We spent our days wearing hand-me-downs getting up to mischief. There is a certain happiness in being silly and ridiculous. But in other ways, we lead a fascinating enjoyable childhood brimming with music, discovery and intrigue.

Christmas

I had a happy moment this week. The tree lights were twinkling, the house was warm and cosy, Michael and I were cuddling on the sofa with the dogs whilst watching Greys Anatomy. I had a sudden feeling that I was home and I felt so blissful and happy.
